“Madyar’s birds” disrupt armoured assault in Donetsk region
On the Donetsk axis, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have thwarted an attempted enemy offensive. Thanks to the work of drone operators, tanks and armoured vehicles preparing to storm Ukrainian positions were successfully struck, causing the assault to collapse before reaching the line of contact.
The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian troops attempted to launch assault operations using tanks and armoured vehicles. However, the attack was stopped through precise and coordinated actions by Ukrainian drone operators.
According to the military, Russian units have recently been making significant efforts to preserve their armoured equipment. They have limited its direct use near the front line, reinforced vehicles with additional metal structures, and actively employed camouflage.
Despite these measures, Ukrainian drones were able to detect and destroy the targets. On the Donetsk axis, servicemen of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, known as “Madyar’s Birds”, distinguished themselves in particular. Their operations led to the destruction of tanks and armoured vehicles that were preparing to advance towards Ukrainian positions.
As a result of the strikes, the enemy’s assault plans were foiled and its equipment rendered inoperable. The Unmanned Systems Forces emphasised that drones remain one of the key tools for deterring enemy attacks, especially during attempted breakthroughs involving armoured vehicles.
“We constantly seek to detect the enemy one step before they can deploy for an attack,” Ukrainian soldiers said.
Footage of the combat operation was released by the defenders themselves. The video shows drones precisely striking enemy vehicles despite camouflage and additional protective measures.
