Puma lost more than €12 million worth of merchandise due to a Russian attack on its warehouse
As a result of a Russian ballistic missile attack on the night of August 5, the logistics complex of a 3PL partner, where Puma Ukraine LLC’s inventory was stored, was completely destroyed. According to preliminary estimates, the value of the destroyed products exceeds 12 million euros.
The company has warned that due to the loss of the warehouse, there may be temporary shortages of certain items in its retail network, online store, and wholesale sales channels.
At the same time, Puma Ukraine LLC continues its operations despite significant losses.
The company noted that, together with the local team, Puma’s global office, and logistics partners, it is already implementing a series of measures to restore operations.
“Together with the local management team, Puma’s global office, and our logistics partners, we are already implementing a series of measures aimed at restoring the supply chain, organizing alternative logistics solutions, and resuming deliveries as quickly as possible. Our top priority is to resume meeting our partners’ needs and minimize the impact of this event on our business,” the company emphasized.
Puma is currently working on alternative logistics solutions to resume product deliveries as quickly as possible and ensure it meets its obligations to partners and customers.
This was reported by the company’s press office.
Russia’s massive strikes on Ukraine’s trade and logistics infrastructure are not expected to cause a nationwide shortage of goods. At the same time, certain regions and stores may experience temporary supply disruptions, a reduced product selection, and a gradual increase in logistics costs.
Russian troops struck Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. One person was killed and four others were injured as a result of the attack.
