Russia attacked a gas station and an energy facility in the Poltava region, leaving 8,500 customers without power
Russian troops struck energy infrastructure in the Poltava region, leaving approximately 8,500 consumers in 36 settlements without power. The occupiers also attacked a gas station.
According to the regional governor, the strike on the energy facility caused an emergency power outage for residential and business customers.
“As a result of yesterday’s attack on the energy facility, an emergency power outage occurred for residential and business customers. About 8,500 customers in 36 settlements are without power,” Dyakivnych said.
Currently, emergency crews from Poltavaoblenergo JSC are working to restore power and address the consequences of the Russian strike.
The previous evening, the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that the Russians had attacked one of the energy facilities in the Poltava district. According to preliminary information, three people were injured.
After midnight, news emerged of another attack. An enemy drone struck a gas station in the Poltava district. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
Utility workers are continuing emergency repair work to restore power to residents of the affected communities as quickly as possible.

In addition, on the night of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Odesa region using strike drones. As a result of the attack, three gas stations and an energy infrastructure facility were damaged.
As a reminder, in Odesa, the number of casualties from the Russian strike has risen to 11, with one person in critical condition.
On July 7, Russian forces attacked Odesa with a ballistic missile equipped with a cluster warhead.
