Russia attacked energy infrastructure in the Odesa region
On the night of June 26, Russian troops carried out yet another attack on energy and civilian infrastructure in the southern part of the Odesa region. As a result of the strike, some settlements were left without power, and one person was injured.
According to the regional governor, several settlements in the Izmail district lost power due to damage to an energy facility.
“In the Izmail district, several settlements were temporarily left without power due to damage to an energy facility. Utility workers have already begun restoration work. Civilian infrastructure was also damaged. As a result of the attack, a cottage caught fire. Unfortunately, one person was injured,” Kipper said.
The Izmail District State Administration clarified that the strike targeted infrastructure facilities in the Vilkove City Territorial Community.
As a result of the attack, the city of Vilkove and some of the community’s settlements were left without electricity.
The Russian strike damaged civilian infrastructure and caused a fire in one of the cottages.
One person was injured.
Russian troops regularly strike Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure using attack drones, various types of missiles, guided aerial bombs (GAB), and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Despite the constant attacks, energy workers and rescue teams are working swiftly to address the consequences of the shelling and restore critical infrastructure.
