Russia attacked Sumy with drones; children are among the wounded
On the night of April 20–21, Russian forces launched a drone strike on the city of Sumy. The attack damaged residential neighborhoods and a medical facility, injuring 15 people, including children.
This was reported by Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
Among the victims are three girls aged 13, 15, and 17. All of them have been hospitalized and are receiving necessary medical care. The other injured, according to the official, are mostly elderly people.
The strike hit the city’s residential area: high-rise buildings and civilian vehicles were damaged. One of the drones struck the hospital grounds.
Currently, all victims are receiving medical care, and the full extent of the attack’s damage is being assessed.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 725 strikes on 39 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of the attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district, two people were killed and ten others were wounded.
On the evening of April 20, two local residents were killed in an attack by an enemy FPV drone on Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The strike damaged high-rise buildings, private homes, and vehicles.
