The Russians struck Nikopol with a drone, killing two elderly women

On the evening of April 20, two local residents were killed in an attack by an enemy FPV drone on Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The strike damaged high-rise buildings, residential homes, and vehicles.

This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.

A 77-year-old woman died at the scene of the attack. The other victim, an 83-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but doctors were unable to save her life. Damage was reported in five-story buildings and private homes. The terror against the civilian population of the Nikopol region by Russian forces continues daily due to the city’s proximity to the front line.

Law enforcement officials are documenting the consequences of yet another war crime against civilians. The victims are receiving necessary psychological and material assistance from local authorities. The situation in the city remains tense due to the constant threat of repeated strikes by drones and artillery. Russian armed aggression continues to claim the lives of unarmed Ukrainians in frontline regions. Specialized services are working to clear the debris in residential neighborhoods.

23-year-old police officer Roman Reva died from severe injuries sustained during an airstrike on Kramatorsk.

Occupation forces of the Russian Federation launched another strike on residential neighborhoods in Zaporizhzhia, resulting in one fatality
