Russia attacked Ukraine with 115 drones; air defence shot down and suppressed 95 UAVs

On the night of 25 February, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, deploying 115 strike drones, including Shahed-type UAVs, as well as “Gerbera”, “Italmas” and other types. Around 60 of them were Shahed drones.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to preliminary data as of 7:30 a.m., air defence forces destroyed or suppressed 95 enemy UAVs in the north, south and east of the country.

At the same time, 18 strike drones were recorded hitting 11 locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces were involved in repelling the aerial assault.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still remaining in Ukrainian airspace.

Over the past day, Russian forces also attacked 19 settlements in the Sumy region. A civilian woman was injured as a result of the shelling. Information on the extent of the damage and the consequences of the attacks is being clarified.

It was also reported that Russia destroyed an enterprise in the Sumy region with a missile strike.

A Ukrainian missile strike likely disabled a combined heat and power plant in Belgorod.

In the Russian city of Belgorod, there will be no hot water until the end of April.

In Belgorod region, more than 220,000 people remain without electricity.

A blackout occurred in Bryansk following a Ukrainian attack.

Due to shelling, Belgorod was left without electricity and heating (video).
