Russia attacks Ukraine with drones: where UAVs were detected
On the evening of December 23, Russian forces once again carried out an aerial attack on Ukraine using strike drones. The movement of enemy UAVs was recorded in several regions of the country.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational update.
The drones were launched simultaneously from several directions. Air raid alerts were declared in multiple regions, and air defense forces are working to destroy the enemy targets.
- 06:07 p.m. – UAVs moved from the Kyiv region toward the Zhytomyr region.
- 06:50 p.m. – A drone was detected in the eastern part of the Dnipropetrovsk region, heading west.
- 06:57 p.m. – UAVs were flying toward Korosten in the Zhytomyr region.
- 06:58 p.m. – An enemy reconnaissance UAV was detected near Sumy and Zaporizhzhia, possibly acting as a spotter for enemy strike assets. Air defense systems were engaged to shoot it down.
- 07:02 p.m. – A strike UAV was detected in northern Sumy region, heading toward Chernihiv.
- 08:07 p.m – An enemy UAV was approaching Chernihiv from the north. A group of drones was also reported moving from the Kyiv region toward the Zhytomyr region.
