Russia attacked Ukraine with three missiles and drones; air defense forces destroyed 109 targets

On the night of September 29, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with three missiles and 152 strike drones. The drones included “Shaheds,” jet-powered UAVs, “Gerberas,” and decoy drones.

According to military officials, the enemy used a “Zircon/Onyx” anti-ship missile, as well as two “Iskander-M/S-400” ballistic missiles.

As of 08:00, air defense units had destroyed and neutralized 109 aerial targets.

Specifically, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down and neutralized:

• one “Zircon/Onyx” anti-ship missile;
• two “Iskander-M/S-400” ballistic missiles;
• 106 enemy UAVs of the “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and other types.

At the same time, the consequences of the Russian attack were documented.

“Enemy airstrikes were recorded at 24 locations, and the debris from downed missiles was found at 16 locations,” the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

In total, Russian forces deployed 155 air-attack weapons—three missiles and 152 attack UAVs. Ukrainian air defense destroyed or neutralized 109 of them.

Russian forces struck a railway infrastructure facility in the Vinnytsia region. Due to the damage, more than 15,000 consumers were left without electricity, according to Natalia Zabolotna, head of the regional military administration.

On the evening of September 28 and the morning of September 29, Russian troops attacked civilian infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region. In total, about 10 strikes on transportation and fuel facilities were recorded during this time.
