Russia is building a new Shahid launch site near the border with Ukraine
Russian troops are expanding infrastructure for launching Shahed-type attack drones near the border with Ukraine. According to observations, the new launch site is located less than 200 km from the Ukrainian border.
This was reported by the “Atesh” partisan movement. The new facility is being built in the Oryol region.
According to the partisans, the Russians will have a new drone launch site near the city of Orel—less than 200 km from the Ukrainian border.

Active construction of large concrete structures is being observed at this location, which could be used for storing and preparing drones for launch.
"Atesh" notes that increased activity had previously been observed in this area, and additional reconnaissance confirmed the expansion of the facility.

“The construction of permanent concrete warehouses for storing and preparing ‘Shaheds’ for launch has been documented. The movement of personnel and vehicles has not ceased, and construction work continues, indicating the modernization or expansion of infrastructure,” the post adds.
