Russia launched a massive attack on the Kherson region; there are casualties
Over the past 24 hours, on July 27, Russian forces launched large-scale attacks on the Kherson region, using aircraft, attack drones, and artillery. As a result of the enemy attacks, three civilians were killed and 10 others were wounded.
The following settlements came under enemy fire: Antonivka, Pryozerne, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Kizomys, Dniprovske, Veletenske, Tomyna Balka, Romashkove, Znam’yanka, Rozliv, Dar’ivka, Mykilsk, Tokarivka, Beryslav, Vysoke, Urozhayne, Rakivka, Kucherske, Novoraysk, Kostyrka, Borozenske, Zolota Balka, Ukrainka, Sagaidachne, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Petropavlivka, Tyahynka, Myrolyubivka, Kachkarivka, Burgunka, Lvove, Mykolaivka, Milove, Mykhailivka, Respublika, Tomaryne, Trifonivka, Kozatske, and the city of Kherson.
As a result of Russian attacks, critical and social infrastructure facilities, as well as residential neighborhoods in the region, sustained damage.
Specifically, the following were damaged:
- three high-rise buildings;
- eight private residential homes;
- a cultural facility;
- private vehicles.
According to the regional military administration, the Russian aggression claimed the lives of three people, and another 10 residents of the region sustained injuries of varying severity.
It is also reported that four people were evacuated from liberated settlements in the Kherson region over the past 24 hours.
This was announced by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
Over the past day, Russian troops carried out 71 strikes on 23 settlements in the Sumy region. As a result of the enemy shelling, 19 people were injured, including seven children.
In the Bilopil community in Sumy Oblast, three people—a woman and her two young children—were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack.
Over the past day, on July 27, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,560 Russian soldiers. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on Russian military losses as of July 28, 2026.
