Russia lost another 780 soldiers and one air defence system on the front line over the past day, General Staff says
The total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to March 12, 2026 amount to approximately 1,276,760 personnel. Over the past day, the Russian army lost another 780 soldiers.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
According to the military, a significant amount of Russian equipment and weapons was also destroyed. In particular, Russia’s losses amount to:
- tanks — 11,766 (+3 over the past day);
- armoured combat vehicles — 24,197 (+20);
- artillery systems — 38,319 (+56);
- multiple launch rocket systems — 1,681 (+1);
- air defence systems — 1,329 (+1);
- aircraft — 435 (+0);
- helicopters — 349 (+0);
- operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles — 173,068 (+2,102);
- cruise missiles — 4,403 (+0);
- warships and boats — 31 (+0);
- submarines — 2 (+0);
- vehicles and fuel tankers — 83,034 (+243);
- special equipment — 4,088 (+0).
The General Staff noted that the figures are being clarified.
On March 11, 113 combat engagements took place on the front line between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Russian invading troops. The enemy made its most active attempts to advance on the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions. On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian troops eliminated more than 60 occupiers.
Russia carried out 65 attacks on Ukraine since the start of the day, the General Staff reported.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also confirmed a successful strike on the Kremniy El plant in Bryansk.
Earlier it was reported that dozens of missiles struck Russian territory on the evening of March 10, causing powerful explosions and a fire at the Kremniy El Group strategic microelectronics plant in Bryansk.
The Governor of Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, confirmed smoke in the Sovetsky District of the city and the presence of killed and injured people, although he did not officially mention that the plant itself had been hit.
