Russia to deploy mobilised personnel in Crimea to combat from April

Russia plans to involve mobilised personnel in temporarily occupied Crimea in combat operations starting from 1 April, as part of the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade.

This was reported by the spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Defence Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.

According to him, some of these units are already being deployed in the Kursk direction, while others are operating as part of the “Crimea” operational-tactical grouping.

“Russians promised that Crimeans would not be sent to fight, but now participation in combat operations is mandatory for them,” Voloshyn said.

At the same time, Russian forces are redeploying the 55th and 120th naval infantry divisions to the south. Initially, they are being sent to temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region for reinforcement, including through reserves of the 29th Army.

According to the spokesperson, in April these forces may be involved in assault operations in the Huliaipole and Oleksandrivka directions.

The 58th Army of the Russian Federation will also receive reinforcements from the 19th and 42nd motor rifle divisions, formed from reserve regiments of the Moscow Military District.

In addition, about 265 units of military equipment are planned to be redeployed to the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region, with subsequent distribution among units of the 29th Army.

On the night of 21 March, Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck facilities at the Saratov oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region.

Earlier, around ten powerful explosions were reported over the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels.
