The Russian military attacked 28 settlements in the Kherson region
Over the past 24 hours, the Kherson region has come under heavy attack by Russian occupiers.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, civilians have fallen victim to Russian aggression.
The enemy used aircraft, artillery, and drones, resulting in civilian casualties and widespread destruction of infrastructure.
One person was killed, and seven others sustained injuries of varying severity.
The occupying forces deliberately targeted the region’s critical and social infrastructure.
“Residential neighborhoods in the region’s settlements came under fire; specifically, three high-rise buildings and 26 private homes were damaged,” the head of the Regional Military Administration reported.
Among the 28 settlements that came under enemy shelling and airstrikes were Kherson, Beryslav, Bilozerka, and Chornobaivka.
Antonivka, Komyshany, Zolota Balka, Rozliv, Mykhailivka, Gavrylivka, Arkhangelske, and other villages on the right bank were also affected.
In Kherson itself, a Russian drone attacked a taxi, killing a 56-year-old man and seriously injuring the driver.
In another part of the city, a drone struck a high-rise building, causing a fire in an apartment and resulting in the hospitalization of a 60-year-old local resident.
The Russian military also dropped nine guided bombs on residential areas in Kherson, Chornobaivka, and Bilozerka. The shockwave and debris damaged warehouses, industrial buildings, and private vehicles.
