Russia attacked railway infrastructure in the Kharkiv region
On the night of April 20, Russian occupation forces carried out a massive shelling of railway infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv region.
As a result of the enemy strikes, significant damage to logistics facilities was recorded; however, fortunately, there were no casualties among railway workers or civilians.
According to official data from the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, an entire complex of facilities came under fire.

Specifically, rolling stock, the train station building, depot repair shops, as well as critical elements of the overhead contact line and power supply systems were damaged.
“Overnight, the enemy struck railway infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv region. Rolling stock, depot repair shops, elements of the catenary system and power supply, and the station building were damaged,” the ministry’s statement reads.

Specialized services and repair crews are currently working at the sites of the strikes to carry out restoration work.
Despite the serious damage, railway workers are doing everything possible to maintain the train schedule and ensure stable connections between the region and other regions.
