Russia damaged a WHO warehouse containing humanitarian medical supplies in the Kyiv region

On the night of September 3, one of the World Health Organization’s main warehouses in the Boryspil District of Kyiv Oblast was damaged as a result of a Russian airstrike.

The warehouse stored humanitarian medical supplies. Due to heavy smoke and safety concerns, access to the facility is currently restricted.

The WHO is assessing the extent of the damage and potential losses of medical supplies. No WHO staff members were injured.

On September 3, Russian troops attacked the Kyiv region with new “Geran-5” strike drones. This is yet another air raid alert in the city today.

In Kyiv, there is a proposal to allow metro trains to operate on certain sections during air raid alerts to reduce the strain on ground transportation and cut travel time for thousands of passengers.
