Russia launched a missile attack on Odesa; there are casualties

On the evening of July 16, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Odesa. According to preliminary reports, two people were killed and six others were injured, including three children.

The attack damaged civilian infrastructure, and fires broke out at the impact sites. Rescue workers, medical personnel, and other emergency services continue to respond to the aftermath of the strike.

 

On the evening of July 16, Russia launched another missile strike on Odesa. The city’s civilian infrastructure was targeted. According to preliminary information from Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, two people were killed as a result of the attack. It is also known that at least six people were injured. Among the victims are three children.

 

All relevant emergency services are on the scene. Rescue workers are extinguishing fires, medical personnel are providing assistance to the injured, and law enforcement and municipal services are documenting the aftermath of the Russian attack. Later, Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged by the missile strike. Fires broke out in various locations as a result of the strikes.

 

Information regarding the number of fatalities, injuries, and the extent of the damage is currently being verified. Authorities are urging residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to remain in shelters while the threat of new attacks persists. “According to preliminary information, two people were killed in the attack.
