Russian troops launched a missile strike on a residential area in the Odesa region. One woman was killed in the attack, and another person was injured. A fire broke out at the scene, and several private homes were damaged.

The State Emergency Service reported that a two-story residential building caught fire after being hit by a missile. Rescue workers quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. “Odesa region: a woman was killed and another person was injured as a result of a Russian missile strike on a residential area,” the State Emergency Service reported.

 

The shock wave and debris also damaged three private homes. Relevant agencies are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the condition of the injured person. Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that a Russian missile struck a suburb of Odesa. A residential area was hit. In addition, Russian troops attacked the region with strike drones overnight. According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, both civilian and industrial infrastructure sustained damage.

 

On the grounds of one of the enterprises, buildings housing auto repair shops, a utility building, and a fuel tanker were damaged. The blast wave also damaged 11 trucks and one passenger car. Rescue workers extinguished the fire. At another facility, tanks containing sunflower oil caught fire following the attack. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties during this strike.

 

Rescue workers, law enforcement officers, and other emergency services are currently working at all the sites of the strikes. They are documenting the aftermath of the Russian attack and finalizing the data on the damage and casualties. This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

As a reminder, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.
