Russia hits multi-storey building in Zaporizhzhia with guided bombs, civilians injured
Russia carried out a strike on Zaporizhzhia using precision-guided bombs (KABs), resulting in injuries. The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (OVA) released a video showing damaged buildings and the scale of destruction.
The report cites Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA, via Telegram.
Law enforcement and emergency services are working at the scene, providing assistance to the wounded and assessing the damage.
Details of the March 11 attack in Zaporizhzhia
Explosions were reported in the city around 04:15 p.m. It was later confirmed that one of the bombs struck a multi-story residential building.
“Preliminary information indicates a strike on a multi-story building. There are injured people. All services are responding,” Fedorov wrote.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of the potential use of KABs.
According to preliminary reports, at least three people sought medical assistance. Fedorov also shared footage showing a large crater in one of Zaporizhzhia’s courtyards. The blast wave damaged nearby buildings as well.
This attack comes after previous strikes on Zaporizhzhia with guided bombs, and amid continued Russian attempts to break into Popivka in Sumy region.
In addition, Russian forces targeted an evacuation vehicle in Zaporizhzhia using FPV drones.
