People injured in Zaporizhzhia after airstrike

The Russian army has again attacked Zaporizhzhia with precision-guided bombs. Explosions were reported in the city, and civilians were injured. Preliminary reports indicate that three people were wounded. The strike hit a residential area, and nearby buildings were damaged by the blast wave.

Russian forces repeatedly shelled Zaporizhzhia using guided bombs. Local residents first reported the explosions, and the regional authorities later confirmed the incident. Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, stated that the Russian army attacked city infrastructure.

“One of the bombs hit a residential area. The powerful blast damaged nearby houses, breaking windows and damaging facades and roofs,” Fedorov said.

Initially, two people were reported injured. Later, the number of wounded rose to three. All victims are receiving medical assistance.

Rescuers, medical personnel, and law enforcement are working on site, inspecting the area and checking damaged buildings. Specialists are clarifying the extent of the destruction and verifying whether anyone may be trapped under debris.

Russian forces regularly target Zaporizhzhia with missiles, drones, and precision-guided bombs. Strikes often hit residential neighborhoods and infrastructure facilities. Due to the city’s proximity to the frontline, it remains a constant target for Russian attacks.

Separately, Russian occupiers are attempting to break into Popivka in Sumy region.

In Zaporizhzhia, Russian forces also attacked an evacuation vehicle with FPV drones.
