Russia lost another 1,240 soldiers in the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost another 1,240 troops in the war against Ukraine. Russia’s total losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have now approached 1.4 million people.
The Russian army continues to suffer significant losses in the war against Ukraine. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, Ukrainian defense forces eliminated another 1,240 Russian soldiers. Thus, as of June 20, 2026, the Russian Federation’s total combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, amount to approximately 1,390,660 personnel.
Russian troops also lost one tank over the past day. The total number of Russian tanks destroyed has reached 12,041. In addition, Ukrainian defenders put four more armored combat vehicles out of action. Russia’s total losses in this category now stand at 24,787 units.
The occupiers suffered their heaviest losses over the past day in artillery. According to the General Staff, another 88 artillery systems were destroyed or damaged. Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has already lost 44,386 such units. The Defense Forces also destroyed two multiple-launch rocket systems and one air defense system. Russia’s total losses in this category amount to 1,883 MLRS and 1,433 air defense systems.

In the air, the Ukrainian military continues to actively destroy Russian drones. Over the past 24 hours, 2,246 operational-tactical-level drones were eliminated. In total, Russia has already lost 361,803 drones. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed seven more ground-based robotic systems. The total number of such losses by the Russian army has risen to 1,695 units.
The enemy also suffered significant losses in motor vehicles. Over the past day, the Russians lost another 476 vehicles and tankers. The total number of vehicles of this type destroyed stands at 109,342. In addition, the Ukrainian military disabled five more units of specialized equipment. Since the start of the invasion, Russia has lost 4,314 such vehicles.
Meanwhile, the number of destroyed aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, ships, and submarines has not changed over the past 24 hours. According to the General Staff, Russia has lost 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 4,787 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, as well as two submarines.The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that these figures are still being refined. “The enemy’s total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to June 20, 2026, are estimated at 1,390,660 personnel,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
