Russians attacked a Sumyoblenergo vehicle; one employee was injured
Russian troops continue to target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and energy sector workers. On the morning of June 4, the occupiers attacked a company vehicle belonging to Sumyoblenergo JSC, injuring one of the company’s employees.
The enemy strike hit the utility workers’ vehicle while they were performing their duties.
“The victim was taken to the hospital and is receiving all necessary medical care,” the Ministry of Energy stated.
Due to hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in several regions of Ukraine are temporarily without electricity.
In particular, power outages have been reported in:
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast;
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- Sumy region;
- Kharkiv Oblast;
- Kherson Oblast;
- Chernihiv region.
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that emergency repair crews are working around the clock to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible.
“Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible. Restoration work is ongoing around the clock. No power restrictions are expected today,” the statement said.
Despite constant attacks on critical infrastructure, Ukrainian energy workers continue to repair damaged networks and ensure the stable operation of the country’s power grid.

The previous day, June 3, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv and 17 other settlements in the region. Three people were killed in the attacks, and another 21 were injured to varying degrees.
In the Kyiv region, efforts are underway to extinguish a large-scale fire at an industrial facility caused by a nighttime attack by Russian drones. Units of the State Emergency Service are involved in the firefighting, and cleanup operations are ongoing.
On the night of June 4, Russian forces carried out a massive air attack using a ballistic missile and 293 drones of various types. Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed or intercepted 264 aerial targets.
