Russians shell crossings in Kharkiv region, one fatality reported

On December 23, Russian forces once again attacked crossings in Kharkiv Oblast. One person was killed as a result of the shelling. Officials are urging residents to celebrate Christmas and New Year at home and to follow air raid alerts, according to a press conference by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synehubov.

“Today, our crossings were again hit, and one person was killed. All circumstances are currently being investigated,” he said. Synehubov did not specify the exact locations of the shelling or the fatality to avoid compromising security.

When asked by journalists about possible increased safety measures during the holidays, the official stated that the curfew in Kharkiv and parts of the region will remain from 00:00 to 05:00. He also urged residents to spend the holidays at home, avoid crowds, and respond carefully to air raid alerts, as citizen safety remains a priority.

Earlier, Russian forces also struck a facility in Kremenchuk, resulting in injuries.
