Russians killed a scientist from the Technical University in Kherson

Tetyana Asaulyk, a 37-year-old scientist from Kherson National Technical University (KNTU), was killed in Kherson as a result of Russian shelling.

This was reported by the first vice-rector of KNTU, Maria Artemenko, and the rector, Olena Chepelyuk.

Tetyana Asaulyk was a candidate of technical sciences, associate professor and leading scientist at the university. Her research focused on resource-saving, intensified, highly efficient processes and technologies for the light, food, chemical and cosmetics industries.

Rector Olena Chepelyuk noted: ‘Recently, [Tetyana] was studying innovative coatings for fabrics to give them increased heat and fire protection properties, which is extremely important in today's conditions... An immeasurable loss for Ukrainian science...’

In Kherson, several high-rise buildings and a gas pipeline were damaged by enemy shelling by Russian troops, causing significant destruction
