Russians carried out nearly 500 strikes on Zaporizhzhia region in one day
Over the past day, Russian forces carried out 498 attacks on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Region, killing one person and injuring four others.
This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, on his Telegram channel.
The heaviest shelling was recorded in Zaporizhzhia District, where the enemy struck residential areas and civilian infrastructure.
According to Fedorov, Russian forces conducted seven air strikes on the settlements of Rizdvyianka, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Vozdvyzhivka, and Verkhnia Tersa.
In addition, the occupiers made extensive use of drones — 273 drone attacks of various types were recorded, most of them FPV drones.
Enemy UAVs attacked Vilniansk, Bilenke, Slavne, Stepnohirsk, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, and other settlements in the region.
The Russian army also carried out five strikes using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) on Lukianivske, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Sviatopetrivka, and Dobropillia.
In total, 213 artillery strikes were recorded across 13 communities, including Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Zelene, Varvarivka, and Pryluky.
The shelling caused significant destruction to civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and outbuildings.
It is recalled that Ukraine’s air defence neutralised 135 out of 156 Russian drones overnight.
The occupiers also struck infrastructure facilities in the northern part of Rivne region.
