Russians carry out over 1,200 strikes on Donetsk, civilian infrastructure destroyed
On 5 February, Russian forces launched 1,285 attacks on Donetsk region, according to the regional police in a Telegram post.
“On 5 February, police recorded 1,285 Russian strikes along the front line and on residential areas… 56 civilian facilities were damaged, including 34 residential buildings,” the report stated.
Eight settlements came under fire: Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Novodonetske, Cherkaske, Mayaky, and Pryvillia.
In Sloviansk, there were five attacks: two KAB-250 bombs, an FPV drone, and two Geran-2 UAVs. One apartment building and six private houses were damaged, along with a fire station and four vehicles.
Kramatorsk was hit by two FPV drones, damaging a private house and a vehicle. Around 1:30 am, an enemy drone struck the roof of a covered market.
Other recorded strikes included:
- Druzhkivka – two private houses damaged by drone attacks.
- Mykolaivka – two apartment buildings, a shop, an infrastructure facility, and three vehicles damaged.
- Cherkaske – two private houses and a vehicle damaged.
- Mayaky – a KAB-250 bomb dropped, damaging a private residence.
- Pryvillia – struck twice by Smerch MLRS, damaging 19 private houses and nine vehicles.
Police are urging residents to follow safety rules and pay close attention to air raid alerts.
Separately, in Kropyvnytskyi, an explosion was reported during an air raid alert.
