A Russian strike on September 3 completely destroyed the “Apteka Dobrogo Dnya” pharmaceutical warehouse. As a result of the attack, hundreds of metric tons of medicines intended for patients in various regions of Ukraine were lost.

“Looking at the photos of our pharmaceutical warehouse before and after the enemy attack on September 3 is unbearably painful. The first photos show our daily titanic efforts: shelves filled to the brim, boxes of medicines. In the next ones—a charred ruin, the silent skeletons of metal structures, and total devastation,” he noted in a post dated September 7.
According to him, hundreds of metric tons of medicines—which patients across the country were waiting for to treat various illnesses—were destroyed in an instant.
Despite the scale of the losses, the company stated that it is gathering its strength to move forward and continue its work. Hornitsky emphasized that doing business in Ukraine amid the war is a daily struggle to preserve jobs and maintain operations.
“And when, in an instant, the enemy reduces the results of immense labor and life-saving medicines to ashes—it feels as if the ground is falling out from under our feet,” wrote the company representative.
“Apteka Dobrogo Dnya” is one of Ukraine’s largest pharmacy chains, ranking among the top five players in the national market in terms of revenue and number of retail locations. According to the company itself, the chain has over 800 pharmacies nationwide.
