Russian attacks claim the lives of nine people in Ukraine
The Russian Federation — an aggressor state — carried out air strikes on several regions of Ukraine on September 12. According to local authorities, nine people were killed, dozens were injured, and residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. This was reported by Channel NewsAsia, citing Reuters.
Deaths in several regions
The Kramatorsk City Council said that Russian military forces attacked private cars in three incidents over 90 minutes. Three people were killed and four others were injured. The city council stressed that ordinary civilian vehicles came under attack.
Zhytomyr region head Vitalii Bunechko reported two deaths as a result of a strike on a grocery store in Zviahel. According to him, two petrol stations and an enterprise with foreign investment were also attacked.
Zaporizhzhia region head Ivan Fedorov reported two deaths and 11 injuries in Zaporizhzhia and other settlements in the region. Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih military administration, said that another two people were killed in the city as a result of a nighttime drone and missile attack.

Strikes on ports and attacks in Russia
In Odesa region, 37 people, including an infant, were affected by a series of nighttime attacks, according to regional military administration head Oleh Kiper. Two more people were being sought. Russia's Defence Ministry said it had struck a cargo vessel in Odesa that allegedly carried military-purpose goods, as well as two cargo vessels in the port of Chornomorsk.
The Russian military also claimed strikes on Zaporizhstal, the Interpipe Steel complex in Dnipro, and several industrial enterprises in Kryvyi Rih. Reuters said it could not independently verify reports from either side.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military reported a strike on the Togliattikauchuk enterprise in Tolyatti, in Russia's Samara region, and a fire at the plant. Samara region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed a drone attack on industrial facilities without specifying whether they had been damaged. Tolyatti Mayor Ilya Sukhikh reported damage to several residential buildings and one injured person.
