Russian drones attacked a bus and a car in Sloviansk: one person was killed

In Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast, a Russian FPV drone struck a bus, and another strike hit a car. The attacks resulted in one fatality and several injuries.

“Today, October 7, around 12:00 p.m., an FPV drone struck a bus operating on Route No. 13. The driver was injured,” the city’s mayor wrote, adding that buses on this route will be temporarily suspended.

In addition, according to Lyakh, around 10:00 a.m. in a remote area of Sloviansk, a drone on a fiber-optic cable struck a civilian car carrying a married couple. “A 64-year-old man died at the scene. His wife suffered shock and injuries,” the head of the Slovyansk City Administration reported.

Vadym Lyakh, head of the Sloviansk Military-Civilian Administration, reported this on Facebook.

As a reminder, in the Kupiansk direction, Russia is increasing its use of large drones.

Russian troops are advancing in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk Oblast. 

Over the past day, 202 combat engagements took place on the front lines. The highest number of Russian assaults was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction—27 attacks, all of which were repelled by Ukrainian forces.

On October 7, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the data on Russian military losses in the war against Ukraine. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,690 invaders.
