Russian drones attacked foreign ships in the Black Sea; there are casualties
On the night of May 28–29, Russian drones attacked three foreign merchant ships traveling through a maritime corridor in the Black Sea. The strikes caused fires to break out on board the ships.
This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba on Telegram.
According to him, enemy UAVs attacked the ships throughout the evening and night as they were traveling along a designated maritime route. After the strikes, the crews extinguished the fires on board on their own.
A vessel flying the flag of Vanuatu was particularly hard hit. Two crew members sustained minor injuries and were promptly provided with medical assistance. The ship itself was towed away for repairs.
