Russian occupiers in the south are implementing a new tactic of breakthroughs with armored columns
Ukraine’s Defense Forces are recording a change in the tactics of Russian invaders in the southern direction.
This was reported on television by the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
The occupiers have switched to attempting breakthroughs using large columns of armored vehicles, trying to penetrate the Ukrainian defense lines.
This maneuver indicates intensified offensive efforts by the enemy in the region.
Unit commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report that the Russians are forming columns consisting of dozens of vehicles — tanks, IFVs, and APCs. These attacks are coordinated with artillery cover and drone reconnaissance.
The Defense Forces are effectively holding back these attempts, inflicting losses on the enemy using anti-tank weapons and artillery.
According to intelligence, the first such attacks were recorded near settlements in Kherson region. Russian columns are suffering significant losses — up to 70% of the equipment is destroyed on approach.
Ukrainian defenders are demonstrating high resilience, employing a “strike and withdraw” tactic.
