One of the strikes hit one of the city’s busiest roads, where people were present at the time of the explosion. There are casualties, including fatalities and injuries, with numbers still being clarified, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

Preliminary reports indicate that the strike hit the Shevchenkivskyi district. Later, it became known that one of the bombs struck a major transportation artery in Kharkiv. Several cars caught fire, and windows were shattered in nearby buildings. People were inside the burning vehicles.

“At this time, one person is confirmed dead and three injured, one of them in serious condition,” Terekhov said.
