Russian Strike Destroys U.S. Drone Manufacturing Plant in Kyiv — The Guardian
During the Russian Federation’s missile attack on Kyiv, a production facility belonging to Terminal Autonomy—a company that develops and manufactures high-precision strike drones—was destroyed. According to The Guardian, the facility was one of the targets of the Russian shelling of the capital.

According to a source familiar with the company’s operations, the facility produced high-precision long-range drones equipped with guidance systems resistant to Russian electronic warfare capabilities.
According to The Guardian’s assessment, this may be the first known instance since the start of the full-scale war in which a Russian missile has destroyed a facility belonging to an American company.
The name “Terminal Autonomy” refers to a technology in which, during the final stage of flight, artificial intelligence takes over control of the drone after electronic warfare signals have been suppressed.
According to information published on the company’s official website, it develops loitering munitions with artificial intelligence capabilities and high-precision weapons that are already being used against targets on the front lines.
According to publicly available registration documents, Terminal Autonomy was incorporated in the U.S. state of Delaware in 2023.
At the time of publication, representatives of Terminal Autonomy had not responded to journalists’ inquiries regarding the consequences of the strike. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense also did not provide a comment.
Anthony Vinci, a former high-ranking U.S. intelligence official, told The Guardian that the company’s ownership does not influence Russia’s choice of targets: “The Russians don’t care who owns the production facility. It remains a target regardless. They don’t care if it’s American or someone else’s.”
As a reminder, the Kerch Bridge in Crimea was closed twice due to explosions.
