Defence forces repelled 160 enemy attacks and eliminated 740 occupiers in a single day

The 1,456th day of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has begun, marked by extremely high-intensity fighting along the entire front line, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders engaged in 160 direct clashes with the invaders, holding back massive assaults on key directions.

The hottest spot on the front was the Huliaipole direction, where the enemy attempted to advance 31 times. The occupiers attacked the areas of Dobropillia, Huliaipole, Solodke, Pryluky, and Zelene, but were unsuccessful.

During the past day, the enemy carried out 76 airstrikes, using 168 precision-guided bombs (PGBs). In addition to aviation, the aggressor deployed an unprecedented number of kamikaze drones — 8,470 units — and conducted over 3,300 artillery strikes.

According to confirmed data, 740 Russian servicemen were destroyed in a single day.

The enemy also suffered significant equipment losses: the Defence Forces destroyed 3 tanks, 6 armoured vehicles, and 40 artillery systems. A separate achievement was the downing of 26 cruise missiles and the neutralisation of over 1,850 operational-tactical level UAVs.

The situation remains tense in the Pokrovske and Kostiantynivka directions, with 21 and 14 attacks recorded respectively. Ukrainian units continue to hold the line in Rodynske, Kotlyne, and Pleshchiyivka, preventing the enemy from carrying out strategic plans.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 6 assault actions towards the settlements of Ternove and Rybne. At the same time, no signs of new offensive groupings have been detected in the Orikhiv, Volyn, and Polissia sectors.
