Defense forces repelled more than forty attacks in the Pokrovsk direction
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have repelled a large-scale offensive by Russian occupiers, recording a total of 150 combat engagements across the entire front line.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The heaviest fighting was observed in the Pokrovsk direction, where our troops successfully repelled 42 assaults by the aggressor in areas surrounding strategically important settlements.
The situation on the front remains tense due to the enemy’s massive use of aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 68 airstrikes, using 227 guided bombs, and deployed a record number of kamikaze drones—over 9,000 units.
In addition, nearly 4,000 attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements were recorded, including from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the epicenter of the conflict was the areas of Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Udachne, and a number of other settlements, where the enemy attempted to break through the defenses toward Hannivka and Svitlyi.
Despite the invaders’ numerical superiority, Ukrainian units are holding their positions firmly.
Active combat operations also continued in the Kostiantynivka sector, where 23 attacks were recorded, and in the Huliaipole sector, where 22 enemy assault attempts took place.
In the Lyman direction, the occupiers attempted eight times to breach our defenses near Nadiya and Tverdokhlibove.
At the same time, the Defense Forces’ aviation and artillery delivered effective retaliatory strikes, hitting five areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the intensity of shelling remains high, but Ukrainian forces are in control of the situation.
In the Sloviansk direction, four attempts by the occupiers to advance in the areas of Platonivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka were successfully repelled.
As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have refuted reports of the loss of the villages of Platonivka and Minkivka in the Donetsk region.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also thwarted a Russian offensive planned for March.
