Following Russian strikes on the town of Bohodukhiv in Kharkiv region on 9 and 11 February, six people were killed, including four children. A three-day period of mourning has been declared in the town.

Mayor Volodymyr Bilyi announced the decision.

“Today the enemy committed a crime beyond human comprehension. As a result of a strike on a private house, two one-year-old boys and a two-year-old girl were killed. Their 34-year-old father also died alongside them. The mother and grandmother are fighting for their lives under medical supervision,” the mayor said.

According to Bilyi, in connection with this tragedy and the deaths of civilians over the past two days, 11, 12 and 13 February have been declared days of mourning in the Bohodukhiv community. Ukrainian national flags have been lowered to half-mast on administrative buildings and at enterprises and institutions, and all entertainment and public events have been cancelled.

It should be recalled that six people, including four children, were killed in Russian attacks on Bohodukhiv on 9 and 11 February.
