In Khartiya, an M113 armored personnel carrier was converted into a ground robot

Engineers from the 2nd Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard’s “Charter” unit have modernized an American M113 armored personnel carrier, transforming it into a remotely controlled robotic platform.

The vehicle was equipped with a Drive-by-Wire system, which allows it to perform tasks without a crew on board. The robotic armored personnel carrier is designed for remote mine clearance, clearing routes through hazardous areas, and delivering ammunition and equipment to forward positions.

The unit notes that thanks to its high payload capacity and armor protection, the M113 can transport heavy equipment and operate near the front lines, reducing risks to military personnel.
