Two people were killed and 36 others were injured in Kyiv as a result of an attack by Russian drones

Two people were killed and 36 others were injured in Kyiv as a result of strikes by Russian drones and falling debris. The attack damaged buildings and vehicles.

Two people were killed in the Darnytskyi and Solomianskyi districts of the capital when Russian drones struck and debris from the downed drones fell.

There are also reports of 36 people injured. Seven people were injured in the Holosiivskyi district, five in the Darnytskyi district, 20 in the Solomianskyi district, and four in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

The Russians targeted gas stations, a business center, an office building, a pharmaceutical plant, a former market building, and facilities near the train station with drones. Fires broke out at the sites of the strikes. Cars parked nearby were also damaged.

The final number of casualties is being determined. Law enforcement officials are classifying the actions of the Russian military as yet another war crime that resulted in the injury and death of civilians in the capital (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The penalty under this article ranges from 8 to 15 years or life imprisonment.

On the night of September 23, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 161 strike drones of various types. Among them were 82 jet-powered UAVs. As of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces had destroyed or neutralized 119 enemy drones and three additional “Banderole”/“Dan-T” drones. 

Since the evening of September 22, Russian troops have attacked two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times. The occupiers used drones and dropped aerial bombs; one person was injured as a result of the attacks.

We should add that drones attacked the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions overnight.

As a reminder, Russia struck Kharkiv on the night of September 23, resulting in one fatality.

On the morning of September 23, air raid alerts were issued in Kyiv and several regions due to the threat of UAVs.
