In Kyiv, the number of people injured in the Russian attack has risen to 16; there is damage
The number of people injured in Russia’s overnight combined attack on Kyiv has risen to 16. Two residents were also killed in the capital, and more than 50 structures were damaged as a result of the strike.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, explosions were heard in the capital for nearly five hours. The effects of the Russian attack were observed in several districts of Kyiv.
The most severe damage was recorded in the Solomyanskyi district, where two people were killed as a result of the strike.
At the same time, the number of injured residents of the capital has risen to 16.
In total, more than 50 facilities of various types were damaged in Kyiv.
Among them:
- residential buildings;
- a dormitory;
- a school grounds;
- stores;
- gas stations;
- a flour mill.
The extent of the damage in various areas of the capital is still being assessed.
Following the Russian strike, emergency services rescued 13 civilians, pulling them from under the rubble or leading them out of blocked buildings. In particular, rescue operations were carried out in the Holosiivskyi district.
While clearing up the aftermath of the attack, a State Emergency Service special-purpose vehicle came under a second Russian strike.
Currently, more than 300 rescue workers and police officers are operating at seven locations across the capital. They are extinguishing fires, clearing debris, and responding to reports from citizens regarding damaged property.
In addition, mobile service centers operated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been set up in Kyiv to help residents quickly replace lost documents.
As a result, the Russian Federation’s nighttime attack led to the deaths of two people, injuries to 16 residents, and damage to more than 50 buildings in Kyiv. Efforts to address the aftermath of the Russian strike are ongoing.
