Two elderly women injured in Kyiv following overnight Russian drone attack (photos)
In Kyiv, following an overnight drone attack on 5 February 2026, two women aged 79 and 80 were injured in the Solomianskyi district. One of them was hospitalized. At least 11 residential buildings were also damaged as a result of the shelling.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Across four districts of Kyiv — Darnytskyi, Obolonskyi, Solomianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi — damage was recorded to 11 residential buildings, as well as a dormitory, a kindergarten, and an office building. Additionally, three cars were damaged by falling drone debris.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into alleged war crimes committed by Russian military personnel (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
Air defense forces successfully repelled over 150 enemy drones.
In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian self-propelled artillery unit using a drone.
Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck an experimental Russian A-60 aircraft during an attack on the night of 25 November in Taganrog.
Ukrainian intelligence drones also destroyed radar systems and a helicopter in Crimea.
