More than 30 people have been wounded in Kyiv following heavy shelling
At least one person was killed and more than 30 others were injured in Kyiv as a result of a massive nighttime attack on Ukraine. According to officials, the capital and at least six regions of the country were targeted.
This was stated in a post by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
Fires and destruction have been reported in various parts of the city. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were hit.
The Darnytskyi district suffered the most damage—a high-rise building there was completely destroyed. Rescue workers continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
People may be trapped under the rubble.
In addition to the capital, Russia struck:
- Kyiv Oblast;
- Kharkiv Oblast;
- Odesa region;
- Poltava region;
- Zaporizhzhia.
Ports in the Odesa region and Ukrzaliznytsia facilities were targeted—the enemy struck critical infrastructure.
