Explosions were heard again in Kyiv following an overnight attack
On the morning of September 1, the Russian attack on Kyiv continued—explosions were heard again in the capital. The city had also come under heavy shelling the night before.
An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv at 9:49 a.m. The Air Force reported that a jet-powered drone was heading toward the capital.
A few minutes after the alert was issued, explosions were heard in the city. As of the time of publication, no information regarding the consequences of the attack had been received.
Zelenskyy reported that the Russian night attack claimed the lives of 12 people.
