Explosions heard near Belbek airfield in Crimea

On the night of 12 January, numerous explosions were reported in temporarily occupied Crimea near the Belbek military airfield. A bright red glow was observed in the sky at the scene, indicating powerful blasts.
This was reported by Krymskyi Viter.

At the same time, an air raid alert was announced in Sevastopol, and large-scale internet access disruptions began across the entire peninsula. These issues coincided with the active operation of Russian air defence systems and electronic warfare.

According to available information, individual unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carrying combat charges were spotted in the Balaklava area, where a possible attack on the local thermal power plant was also reported.

In the occupied territory of Crimea, there are widespread violations of the rules governing the use of pesticides and agrochemicals, which may pose a threat to human health and the environment.
