According to the official, a special support system has been established in Kryvyi Rih for residents whose homes have been damaged by Russian attacks.
Immediately after enemy strikes, relief headquarters operate on-site, where people can receive building materials for urgent repairs, guidance on applying for financial assistance, psychological support, and help with temporary housing.
Separately, the city provides monetary compensation for restoration work. Special commissions assess the damages for each family, after which the costs are covered by the city budget.
“Balconies, windows, and much more—in every case, for every family, special commissions assess the damages and the city compensates them. This includes the purchase of new apartments when housing is completely destroyed,” Vilkul emphasized.
In addition to assisting individual families, city authorities are funding the restoration of apartment buildings.
This involves repairing roofs, load-bearing structures, facades, and other damaged elements of residential buildings.
