Air Defence shot down 7 missiles and nearly 250 enemy drones on the night of January 13
On the night of January 13, starting from the evening of January 12, Russian forces carried out a massive aerial attack on Ukraine. The enemy used:18 ballistic missiles “Iskander-M” and S-300 surface-to-air missiles, 7 cruise missiles “Iskander-K”, 293 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera types and others, with around 200 being Shahed drones.
The launches were carried out from the territory of Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, the ballistic strikes were directed from four directions at Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions.
The aerial attack was repelled by the air force, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, UAV units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:30, 247 aerial targets were shot down or suppressed: 2 ballistic missiles “Iskander-M”, 5 cruise missiles “Iskander-K”, 240 enemy drones of various types in northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of the country.
At the same time, missile strikes and 48 attack drones were recorded hitting 24 locations. The aerial attack continues, and enemy UAVs remain in the sky. Citizens are urged to follow safety rules.

For context, unknown drones attacked a drone manufacturing plant in Taganrog. On New Year’s Eve in Russia, drones also struck oil depots and refineries, causing fires. On the morning of December 31, drones hit the FDCU “Temp” plant of Rosrezerv in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region, Russia.
