Logistics for the Ukrainian Armed Forces have become more difficult in the Kupiansk area due to Russian attacks
In the Kharkiv region, resupplying Ukrainian troops in the Kupiansk area has become significantly more difficult due to systematic Russian attacks on crossings over the Oskil River.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
“The enemy’s systematic air and missile strikes on the crossings over the Oskil River have significantly complicated logistical support for Defense Forces units in the Kupiansk area,” the statement reads.
Currently, troops are being supplied using watercraft and heavy drones.
The command is strengthening air defense and anti-drone protection in this area, as well as expanding electronic warfare systems.
“Under these difficult conditions, special attention is being paid to supporting our servicemen carrying out missions on the front lines,” the General Staff noted.
The General Staff reported that the command of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade concealed the true state of affairs, which led to the loss of some positions and supply issues.
In particular, a problem with food supplies to one of the positions was identified—earlier reports indicated that soldiers may have been without food and water for an extended period.
In light of these events, the commander of the 14th Brigade was relieved of his duties, and the commander of the 10th Army Corps was demoted. An investigation is currently underway.
“The new brigade and corps command is taking all possible measures to normalize the situation and ensure the supply of troops at combat positions,” the General Staff emphasized.
Total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of April 24, 2026, amount to approximately 1,323,460 personnel. Over the past 24 hours alone, another 910 soldiers were lost.
Ukrainian drones destroyed three Russian anti-aircraft missile systems in a single night in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. The “Tor-M2” and “Osa” systems were targeted and were unable to effectively repel the attack. The operation demonstrated that Russian air defense systems do not always manage to react even at the moment their own missiles are launched.
194 combat engagements over the past 24 hours on the front lines.
Shelling of the Kherson region: 40 settlements came under fire, resulting in one fatality and 25 wounded.
Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in March, the Russian army suffered its heaviest losses since the start of the full-scale war.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense released data on the advance of Russian occupation forces over the past month.
