In Russia, preparations have begun to train officials to carry out a mass mobilization

Russian authorities organized a three-day mobilization training exercise for 17 employees of mobilization units within executive bodies and local self-government bodies from the Astrakhan, Rostov, and Volgograd regions, Kalmykia, as well as the occupied territories of Crimea, Donetsk Oblast, and Luhansk Oblast.

During the exercises in the city of Volzhsky, a preliminary assembly point for mobilized personnel, a station for issuing draft notices, and a reception point for military equipment were set up

Although the administration later removed the video of the exercises from its social media accounts, the information remained in local media reports. At the same time, in the Penza region of the Russian Federation, mass raids by police and military registration and enlistment offices were reported, during which men were forced to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense to be sent to war against Ukraine.

Military News reported this, citing the Volzhsky city administration.

Earlier reports indicated that Russia might announce another mobilization this fall amid the difficult situation on the Ukrainian front, the failure of the winter-spring offensive, and significant losses. State Duma Deputy Andrei Gurulov made this statement, linking the possible decision to Russia’s military setbacks in the war against Ukraine.

Later, Andrei Gurulov claimed that his Telegram account had allegedly been hacked after a message appeared about a possible new wave of mobilization in Russia this fall and the Russian army’s problems on the front lines.
