In Russia, three major oil refineries have cut back or halted diesel production following Ukrainian attacks
Three of the six Russian refineries that produce the bulk of the country’s diesel fuel were forced in September to significantly reduce or completely halt the processing of feedstock and the production of finished products due to damage caused by drone attacks.
According to the agency’s sources, about 50% of Russia’s diesel fuel is produced by six refineries: the Omsk Refinery, Kirishinefteorgsintez (“Kinef”), the TANECO refinery, the Volgograd Refinery, Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez (NORSI), and Permnefteorgsintez. Currently, “Kinef” has completely halted operations, while the Volgograd Refinery and NORSI are producing several times less diesel fuel than usual.
The TANECO refinery came under a drone attack on Sunday, but Reuters sources have not yet been able to determine the extent of the damage.

As a reminder, a fire broke out at a Rosneft refinery in Syzran following a drone attack.
Earlier, Russia attacked Izyum with KAB bombs; among the casualties was a two-month-old infant.
On September 10, in Kyiv’s Svyatoshynsky District, a drone crashed in an open area in a forest near a shopping center. According to preliminary reports, there was no fire and no casualties.
In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the aftermath of the incident.
