Power will be shut off for a day in Sumy to repair the power grid

The city of Sumy will experience a 10-hour power outage on Sunday due to maintenance work, according to a warning issued by city officials, who urged residents to prepare in advance and charge their devices. This was announced on Telegram by Artem Kobzar, acting mayor of Sumy and secretary of the Sumy City Council.

On Sunday, Sumy will be without power for several hours, as utility workers plan to carry out maintenance work on the grid, which requires a complete power outage across the city.

This was announced by Artem Kobzar, acting mayor of Sumy and secretary of the city council, who emphasized that the outage will last from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. He noted that this is a necessary step related to technical work intended to stabilize the power grid following heavy loads and potential damage. “Unfortunately, there will be no electricity in the city of Sumy tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regional power company employees will be working on the restoration,” Kobzar said in a video address to residents.

City authorities are urging residents to prepare for the outage in advance by charging their phones, power banks, and other devices, as well as to be mindful of limitations on the use of household appliances. It is expected that power will be restored to normal after the work is completed.
