On August 5, the Sumy community declared a Day of Mourning for the victims of the KAB strikes

The Sumy community declared August 5 a Day of Mourning for those killed in the overnight Russian attack with guided bombs. 

On the night of August 4, Russian forces launched six guided airstrikes on Sumy. Three civilians were killed in the attack—two girls aged 5 and 10, and a 76-year-old woman.

On the Day of Mourning, national flags will be flown at half-mast on the community’s administrative buildings, and all entertainment events will be canceled.

Russia dropped seven aerial bombs on Sumy: one person was killed and others were wounded.

Over the course of July 17, Russian forces carried out strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were wounded in the shelling; among the casualties were five children.
